All about Refreshed & Refurbished

We grade our refurbished laptops so you know what to expect. The grading only reflects cosmetic condition, not performance.

Grade A – Excellent

Very light signs of use.

  • Body is clean, no dents or heavy marks

  • Screen is spotless – no scratches, blemishes, or pressure marks

  • Keyboard and touchpad show minimal use

Grade B+ Good with Excellent Screen

Moderate signs of use, but the screen is perfect.

  • Some light scratches or marks on lid or body

  • Screen is Grade A – clean and unmarked

  • Keyboard or touchpad may show signs of use

Grade B – Standard Used Condition

Noticeable wear but no major issues.

  • Light scratches, scuffs, or small cosmetic marks

  • Screen may have very minor signs of wear but no pressure marks

  • Everything is tested and fully working

Grade B−(minus) – Good Body, Screen Flaw

Body is in good condition, but the screen has a flaw.

  • Case may have light marks

  • Screen has a pressure mark, blemish or light scratch visible on white backgrounds

  • Still 100% functional and tested

Grade C – Heavily Used

Clearly used but still works fine.

  • Scratches, scuffs, possibly a small dent

  • Screen may have multiple flaws or dead pixels

  • Priced lower due to cosmetic condition

Note: Refurbished doesn’t mean like new. These are used machines that have been cleaned, tested and restored to full working condition. You’re saving money by accepting some wear and tear — not buying new in disguise.

Batteries and Consumables

Battery health will have been tested before sale to confirm basic function. However, battery lifespan and performance naturally vary over time and are not covered under the 12-month warranty.

Replacement batteries are available if needed at cost price.

Making a Warranty Claim

  • You must report the fault by contacting us directly, quoting your original receipt or invoice number.

  • We will first try to diagnose remotely if possible. You may be asked to return the laptop for inspection.

  • If repair is not possible, we may offer a replacement device of equivalent or better specification.

  • Refunds are only offered if a suitable repair or replacement cannot be made within a reasonable time.

Your Statutory Rights

These warranty terms are in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
